Classcycle
Classcycle is a mom-and-pop bike shop located at 1531-B South Novato Boulevard in Novato. Owners Curtis and Lorrie Ross manage every aspect of the business. Curtis does all of the mechanical work on every bike that comes into the store, including build-ups, repairs, and service. He has 20 years of experience in the bicycle business. Lorrie manages the finances, helps with ordering and provides the friendly customer service for which the shop is known. Their dog, Molly, is also a fixture at the shop and loves to get petted by all the customers.
Classcycle is an all-around shop; the customers include occasional family riders as well as devoted, serious cyclists. Curtis and Lorrie sell and work on a range of bicycles from affordable kids' bikes to expensive high-end bicycles. The Rosses have owned their Novato bike shop for 14 years.
Curtis and Lorrie ride their bikes almost every day. On weekends they ride about four miles to do errands. They walk the 1/3 mile to the grocery store because it is so close. Riding helps Lorrie keep her cholesterol down, a critical concern for her as she endured a heart attack two years ago. Her increased riding since then has kept her cholesterol levels low. To celebrate their 30-year wedding anniversary in June, Curtis and Lorrie are planning a luxurious bike ride.
